Chester & Stoke-on-Trent Methodist District

Are you looking for a new vocational opportunity, a chance to put something back into our Methodist District?
Do you have a calling to enable lay people to contribute to the life of the Methodist Church in our District and wish to give something of yourself (your expertise and time) back to God?
Do you have an HR background with experience in some or all of the following?
-

-
Employee Relations
If so, the District needs your help with Lay Employment issues, so please consider expressing an interest in joining us.
The District Lay Employment Sub-committee (DLESC) meets (virtually, so no need to travel) four times a year, plus you will be expected to review application packs along with other committee members, to pick up on small project work and give guidance.
The District Lay Employment Secretaries are appointed specifically to provide employment guidance and support to representatives of churches, circuits and districts. As a member of the DLESC, which works in a collaborative way, you will be providing information, support etc. to the Secretary to enable them to fulfil this role and promote good employment practice.
If you are interested, please contact Heather Staniland, Lay Employment Secretary for an initial conversation: layemploymentsecretary@gmail.com followed by a written expression of interest.
